Travel Project Leads (Cabling/Construction)

Job Description SmartSource is seeking 5 Project Foremen for a traveling contract to hire or direct hire opportunity. Hourly compensation open for discussion during screening. Will be traveling to Albany, OH – client’s location. Must be located in Central Time Zone. Job Responsibilities Include: Lead cable technician teams for: low voltage structured cabling projects across a variety of platforms including data centers, banking, financial, and manufacturing/distribution environments. Copper Cabling – Rough-in, terminate, and test 4‑pair (CAT5e‑CAT6) and multi‑pair cabling. Fiber Cabling – Rough‑in, terminate, and test fiber utilizing SC/LC connectors, fusion splicing ability required. Circuit Extension – T1, DS3, POTs. Reading and executing customer specification manuals to perform installation as detailed. Following architectural/engineered drawings. Working knowledge of testing copper and fiber (MM and SM) using Fluke DTX testing equipment. Leading a team on daily objectives. Travel: Must be willing to travel as necessary. Qualified applicants will have the following qualifications: 3-5 years structured cabling leadership experience. Experience in large‑scale rollouts, commercial building construction, and the ability to collaborate with a general contractor. Working knowledge of testing copper and fiber (MM and SM) using Fluke DTX testing equipment. Experience working with wireless, sound masking, access control, A/V, etc. Customer service experience.
