KYC Platform Transformation Product Manager, Vice President/Senior Vice President, New York

Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesFinancial Crime Compliance ("FCC") coordinates Goldman Sachs' enterprise-wide anti-money laundering (AML), economic sanctions, e-communications and anti-bribery compliance efforts. The combined FCC team, which is composed of professionals with extensive law enforcement, regulatory, legal, compliance, forensic consulting, operations and business experience, administers an array of surveillances, due diligence, investigative expertise and other control processes designed to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, securities fraud and other violations of law.The Financial Crime Compliance team is seeking a Senior Product Manager for a compliance role with experience in product ownership, management, product design, and Know Your Customer rules and regulations. This individual will work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and engineering stakeholders to ensure our KYC products meet regulatory requirements and exceed customer expectations. This role requires a deep understanding of the KYC/AML landscape, regulatory frameworks, and the ability to drive product innovation in a highly regulated environment. They will lead the KYC Product Management and Change teams & serve as the firmwide product owner to develop and lead the product strategy for KYC compliance solutions, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements; help to oversee the roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on regulatory changes, program priority and business needs and emerge capabilities (e.g., generative and agentic AI solutions); collaborate with senior leadership to shape the long-term vision for the KYC product portfolio. They will also coordinate drafting requirements, criteria for success, and acceptance criteria while working with change management teams to implement new system features. The ideal candidate will have 10 plus years of experience in product management, with at least 10 years in KYC/AML compliance, financial services, or highly regulated industries. Experience and success with AI, machine learning, and graph network solutions preferred.Principal Responsibilities:Develop product strategy for KYC solutions Collaborate with senior leadership across Compliance, Operations, Engineering, and the Business to execute on the strategic vision for KYC systemsKnow regulatory and firm KYC requirements to ensure products are fully in compliance with global regulatory standards Understand firm products and services, and divisional systems, to define and deliver system functionality Write and refine product requirements in partnership with Operations and Engineering teams Work with Change Management teams to appropriately plan and release new functionality Ensure stakeholder awareness of new and existing KYC system functionality Manage a team of Product Managers Basic Qualifications:The role requires a degree (Bachelors/Masters) in a related field (Legal, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Product Management, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines)At least 10 years working experience in a product management role at a global, highly regulated financial institutionFirm understanding of Know Your Customer regulations, and preferably at least 10 years of experience working in a Know Your Customer role (Operations, Execution, Compliance, Legal)Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLookups) and PowerPointUnderstanding of data structures and query languages such as SQLKnowledge of Data Quality and Data Analysis methodologiesAbility to communicate Compliance requirements for consumption by Engineering and other cross functional partnersExperience using JIRA and writing business requirementsEffective written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to adapt in a fast-paced work environment; strong sense of urgencyStrong work ethicPreferred Qualifications:Technical skills (Alteryx, SQL, R, Python, Tableau)Awareness and experience working with AML trends and typologiesExperience building and enhancing existing processes (including via the use of AI, machine learning, and graph networks)Experience in large scale system developmentABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
