Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Mobile, AL
Schedule: Approximately 34 hours per week; weekend availability for extra money!
Pay: $0.25-0.29 PLUS an additional $0.15 per mile for per diem PLUS....
- An extra 5 cents per mile for distances over 2,400 miles.
- An extra 9 cents per mile for distances over 2,600 miles.
- An additional $100 per week
Job Summary
Spherion is currently recruiting for a CDL-A Driver to join our client’s team in Mobile, AL. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver looking for a stable position with a family-oriented company and regional driving opportunities.
The position involves operating a dry van and transporting freight throughout the Southeast.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer with a CDL-A license
- Transport dry-van freight throughout assigned routes
- Complete required paperwork and delivery documentation
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
- Maintain accurate driving and delivery records
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Clean and safe driving record
- Previous commercial driving experience preferred
- Must meet all DOT requirements
- Must be dependable and safety-minded
- Must be comfortable with regional driving
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with dispatch
