Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role Our client, a prominent player in the agricultural processing industry, is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance team in Paarl . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and optimal functioning of all electrical equipment and systems within the plant, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity. You will manage a team of electricians and technicians, overseeing preventative maintenance programs, reactive repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of industrial electrical systems and safety. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the electrical maintenance team. Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for electrical equipment. Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults and breakdowns across the facility. Ensure all electrical maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Manage spare parts inventory for electrical components and equipment. Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety, skill development, and accountability. Requirements Qualified Electrician (Trade Test) with a strong background in industrial electrical maintenance. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Proven experience with industrial control systems, motor control, and power distribution. Solid understanding of electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management.
