Press OperatorQPS Employment Group has a great Press Operator position available at a company in O'Fallon, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.Press Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Produce parts to specification as a resistance/robotic welder, hand loaded press operator, inspection/packaging, and/or press helperFollow safe work procedures and general plant rules while performing the job.Maintain a well-organized, clean work areaEnsure the required parts and materials are availablePerform job tasks as outlined on the Production Training Outline for the job task being performedPerform basic measurements and monitoring with caliper, micrometer, scale & gaugesPress Operator Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals; fill out production reportsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; read and understand blueprintsAbility to understands written, verbal or diagrammed instructionsAbility to frequently walk or stand for long periods of time for up to 10 hours a dayAbility to occasionally bend, stoop, crawl, or kneelAbility to exert up to 50 pounds of force to regularly lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
