Field Service Engineer (FSE) – PVD Equipment, Inline PlatformsPosition Title: Field Service Engineer (FSE) – PVD Equipment, Inline PlatformsLocation: Perrysburg, OH (East Coast Service Area)Company: Vital & FHR North America, LLCJob Type: Full-time EmployeeJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer (FSE) for PVD equipment. The FSE will provide on-site support during installation, along with after-sales service and maintenance for our advanced Inline PVD Equipment. The ideal candidate will have a background in semiconductor, display, photovoltaics, and/or architectural glass manufacturing, knowledge of copy exact principles and hands on experience troubleshooting inline sputtering and evaporation processes and hardware.Key Responsibilities:Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of inline-based sputter and evaporation equipment at customer sites.Maintenance and Repair: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on PVD systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Customer Support: Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and best practices.Process Optimization: Collaborate with customers to optimize PVD processes and improve product yields.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment performance, and customer interactions.Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, both external and internal, to identify in-field issues, resolve, and contribute to product improvements.Travel: Travel to customer sites as needed, both domestically and internationally.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field preferred5+ years of experience in servicing PVD equipment, with a focus on inline sputter or evaporation systems.Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with vacuum systems and plasma technology.Excellent communication skills. German & Mandarin language a plus.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel frequently.
