Job Summary:
The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) procedures in San Francisco, California. The role involves providing patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) procedures, utilizing skills in sterile technique, equipment management, and monitoring patient status. Candidates are required to bring their California Registered Nurse (RN) license on their first day.

Job Details:

• Location: San Francisco, California
• Schedule: 10-hour days with variable start times, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: CA RN License, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA, minimum 1 year of experience in the Catheterization Laboratory or Interventional Radiology, combined 3-5 years of experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and/or Cath Lab, minimum 5 years of clinic nursing experience, proficiency with diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, sterile technique, patient monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring. All RN positions require BSN.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching hospital experience and experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Additional Information:
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster are mandatory, with proof of vaccination and scheduled appointment to be provided upon submission.
  • Modules are non-billable and included in non-billable hours, with 8 hours of modules; anything over 24 hours is billable. Modules are completed during pre-start and annually, with transcripts recorded from the UC Learning website.
  • Candidates must have prior travel experience within the last 12 months.
  • Float policy applies: resources may be reassigned to different departments or facilities within a 75+ mile radius if they meet job specifications.
