Company Description Camp Gladiator (CG) is a national outdoor group fitness community where certified trainers lead dynamic workouts and members train alongside a supportive community. Founded by Ally Davidson after her appearance on NBC’s American Gladiators, CG has grown from a single boot camp in a Dallas park to more than 750 in-person locations, plus a robust streaming platform with live and on-demand classes. CG provides trainers with brand, technology, marketing, and business support while they focus on coaching in parks and open spaces across the country. Members can train outdoors, join live virtual sessions, access an extensive on-demand workout library, and follow customized in-app meal plans for continued progress. At CG, every fitness level is welcomed, and accountability, community, and personal connections are central to the experience. Role Description The Group Fitness Instructor will lead high-energy outdoor group workouts for participants of varying fitness levels, ensuring safe, effective, and engaging sessions aligned with Camp Gladiator’s training model. This full-time, on-site role is based in Tyler, TX (+ surrounding cities) and involves planning class formats, designing progressive workout programs, and adapting exercises for different abilities. The instructor will greet and support participants, demonstrate proper technique, monitor safety, and motivate campers to build strength, endurance, and confidence. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing class logistics, setting up and breaking down equipment, fostering a welcoming community environment, and communicating regularly with campers about schedules, programming, and progress. The role also includes collaboration with the broader CG trainer network and leveraging CG’s tools and resources to grow participation and maintain strong camper engagement. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Group Exercise and Fitness Instruction to lead safe, effective, and engaging workouts for diverse fitness levels. Candidates should possess Personal Training and Fitness Industry experience to design programs, coach proper technique, and understand current training best practices. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to build relationships, encourage camper accountability, and create a welcoming, community-focused environment. Current nationally recognized fitness certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA) and CPR/AED certification are preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift and move equipment, and demonstrate exercises throughout each session. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to lead groups confidently and reliably.
