Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer provides leadership and direction to financial departments, ensuring the overall fiscal integrity, accountability, and performance of Nevada Regional Medical Center. This role partners with the CEO and leadership team to support long- and short-range financial planning and to ensure the organization’s financial strength aligns with its mission and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership to all financial departments, including Accounting, Patient Financial Services, Health Information, and Materials Management. Assist the CEO in developing long- and short-range hospital plans. Develop annual operational and capital budgets aligned with organizational objectives. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports that reliably reflect the hospital’s financial position. Monitor financial and economic data to identify trends that may impact operations, planning, and investments. Communicate financial and operational performance to senior leadership, staff, and other stakeholders. Review denial issues and trends to maximize net reimbursement for the facility. Review and oversee contracts, purchase agreements, and other financial arrangements. Direct the timely submission of all financial reports required by governmental and regulatory agencies. Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO or designee. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance from an accredited university required. Master’s degree and/or CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in acute care hospital finance required; prior CFO experience preferred. Rural or community hospital experience and CPSI system knowledge preferred. Experience in Revenue Cycle Management preferred. Required Skills and Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with board members, physicians, administration, department directors, employees, and the public. Approachable, professional, and collaborative leadership style. Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities. Results-oriented with the ability to balance financial goals with broader organizational priorities.
