Live Oak Veterinary Specialists is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and team-oriented Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing specialty team. Important Applicant Information

This position is reserved for currently credentialed Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs). Applicants must possess an active RVT credential at the time of application.

If you are not currently credentialed but are interested in joining our team, we encourage you to apply for our Veterinary Assistant openings, which are designed for individuals seeking to build experience and grow within the veterinary profession.

What You'll Do

Provide nursing care and monitoring for hospitalized patients
Obtain patient histories, collect samples, and perform diagnostic testing
Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
Assist with surgical and emergency procedures
Perform radiology and laboratory procedures
Educate clients on patient care, medications, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate medical records and support daily hospital operations

What We Are Looking For

Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credential required
Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technology program
Strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills
Commitment to delivering exceptional patient and client care
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty environment
Emergency or specialty experience is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient restraint throughout the workday, as well as the performance of technical veterinary procedures. Team members must be able to safely work around animals, medical equipment, anesthesia, radiology, cleaning agents, and potential biological hazards while maintaining professionalism and composure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
