Firmware Test Development Engineer

Role Overview

This position is focused on firmware validation and test development for server platforms. You will work closely with firmware developers to understand new features, design test strategies, and validate firmware functionality on server hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with firmware development teams to understand new firmware features and changes.
Develop and execute test cases to validate new functionality.
Perform a mix of manual testing and light scripting/coding to support test automation.
Work with server hardware, including CPU, GPU, and various I/O cards.
Identify issues, troubleshoot failures, and ensure firmware quality on post-silicon platforms.
Utilize AI-based tools to improve productivity, such as generating, organizing, and optimizing test cases and workflows.

Required Experience

Experience in firmware, system validation, or test development.
Hands-on experience with server platforms, particularly Server CPUs and/or GPUs.
Experience working with hardware components, I/O devices, and post-silicon validation environments.
Ability to create and execute test plans and test cases.

Preferred Skills

RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability) validation.
Virtualization technologies.
MCTP (Management Component Transport Protocol).
Familiarity with AI/agentic tools for improving engineering productivity (development experience is not required).
