This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
This position requires 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week. On-call is required for a total of 12 days per month, including 4 weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab will provide specialized care in a high-acuity environment, managing patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing advanced practice skills to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures and related interventions.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to therapy.
- Provide patient education and support before and after procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards within the Cath Lab.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Required Experience
- Current RN license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Nihss certification required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active California RN license.
- Nihss certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
