Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)  is adding a  Medical Director - Adult Primary Care and Geriatrics  to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health . South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with  SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and  NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

• Serve as the direct supervisor, provide clinical guidance, and complete performance evaluations for clinical staff.
• Direct, evaluate, and supervise all aspects of the following Departments: Adult Primary Care, Geriatrics, Same Day, Weight Management, and IDA G Family Medicine.
• Provide direct patient care and precept Residents in Resident practice.
• Collaborate with the Medicine Residency Program Directors to ensure an optimal continuity clinic experience for Medicine Residents.
• Develop and lead Departmental performance improvement activities.
• Coordinate closely with ambulatory nursing and administrative leadership.
• Participate in weekly departmental operations and committee meetings.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
• Active or eligible for a New York State Medical License.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Minimum 3 years of practice in adult primary care, with demonstrated leadership in performance/quality improvement initiatives and/or clinical staff oversight.
• Experience precepting Internal Medicine Residents, preferred.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary of $265,100* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $331,610**,  which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
