Role Overview

An experienced AI engineer is needed to develop real time inference calls to a large language model service hosted in Azure and develop low latency lightweight NLP algorithms for keyword flagging.

This role will require a significant level of autonomy and unilateral decision making in architecture design and the selected individual will need to be able to write clear documentation of how the system works and explain it to non-technical audiences.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop real time inference calls to a large language model service hosted in Azure.
• Develop low latency lightweight NLP algorithms for keyword flagging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with call center platforms like Genesys
• API best practices
• Integrating LLM API calls from Azure Foundry to a website interface via a RESTful design
• Experience in translating unstructured data to structured form fields via JSON structured design or using structured output functionality in Azure Foundry
• Understanding model deployment best practices for context creation, latency constraints, and token auditing
• Familiarity with natural language processing methods such as bag-of-words and word embeddings for representations
• An understanding of applying natural language processing techniques to conversational turns such as call transcripts or debates
• Traditional machine learning and analytics
• Multi-cloud environment and network security
• Experience in sensitive and highly regulated domains such as child welfare, health, or national security that instill an attention to data and PII best practices
