Job Summary

Magorian Mine Services is a family-owned construction company that specializes in the construction of wine caves, tunnels, and soil nail retaining walls. We are looking for a heavy equipment mechanic who can help maintain and repair our diverse fleet of equipment. You will also perform and record regular maintenance, report any defects or issues immediately, and keep equipment in good, clean working order. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, is able to prioritize with minimal oversight, and maintains high safety standards.

Responsibilities 

• Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems
• Diagnose and repair concrete equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on all machines to help maximize equipment uptime
• Regularly disassemble and deep clean concrete pumps, grout pots, and other concrete equipment
• Test equipment to confirm functionality and safety before returning it to service
• Maintain and keep inventory of equipment and supplies
• Drive to and from job sites sites to perform field repairs and drop off supplies, as required
• Perform other duties as necessary, as assigned by the senior mechanic or company owner

Qualifications

• 3+ years mechanical experience required
• 1+ years of experience in concrete construction preferred
• Experience with flatbed and other large vehicle driving preferred
• Welding experience preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
• Ability to read plans and schematics
• Conversational Spanish (preferred) and English (required)
• Some travel required to job sites
