This exclusive initiative provides a fast-track to advancement within a mission-driven environment, allowing you to provide comprehensive clinical care to our nation's Sailors, Marines, and their families. You'll support the oral health and readiness of our forces while building clinical excellence in modern dental facilities across the globe, from state-of-the-art hospitals to afloat facilities aboard aircraft carriers. As part of this pilot program, a limited-time $20,000 signing bonus is also available. Qualified candidates may be eligible for advanced entry paygrades, recognizing their professional credentials: E-4 (Petty Officer Third Class): Candidates with an Associate Degree from a CODA-accredited Dental Hygiene program can enter at this advanced paygrade, with an earning potential of up to $104,000 annually. E-6 (Petty Officer First Class): State‑licensed Dental Hygienists may qualify for entry at this higher paygrade, with an earning potential of up to $116,000 annually. Perform periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing. Take, process, and interpret dental radiographs. Apply fluoride, sealants, and other preventive and chemotherapeutic treatments. Provide critical oral health and nutrition education to patients. Document patient care, clinical readiness, and treatment outcomes with precision. Uphold the highest standards of infection control and support clinical quality assurance protocols. A dynamic mix of preventive services, advanced periodontal therapy, radiography, and patient education. Opportunities to support humanitarian missions and deliver care in unique environments worldwide. Work Environment Serve in modern, well-equipped dental clinics and hospitals at Navy bases in the U.S. and overseas. Potential assignments to afloat dental facilities aboard aircraft carriers and hospital ships (USNS Comfort/Mercy).
