Part-Time Registered Nurse Opportunity

Sentara RMH Medical Center is currently seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our PACU team. Sign-on bonus up to $7,500 for qualifying candidates.

Work Shift: Rotating

Scheduled Shift Requirements:

• Two 8-hour scheduled shifts per week.
• One shift must be 1100-1930.
• Other shift options: 0800-1630, 0830-1700, 0900-1730 FLEX shift (8-hour shift between 0730-1930 flexed to coverage needed; receive update day prior to shift with shift start time)

On-Call Requirements:

• One night call per week (Mon-Thur) 1930-0700; you can choose to add this to follow the 1100-1930 shift if desired
• One Friday night call 1930-0700 in addition to weeknight call per 6-week schedule
• One weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) 24-hour on-call 0700-0700 every 3rd weekend (this is a preset rotation for the year)
• One holiday 24-hour on-call 0700-0700 per year (preset rotation)

Education:

Associates Degree - Nursing

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Certification/Licensure: Registered Nurse

Experience: Previous acute care experience preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities: The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
