CNC Machinist

We are seeking a CNC Milling Machinist/Programmer for our client in the Wixom, Michigan area.

Our client is a full-service machine shop offering CNC milling, turning, and grinding services. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a starting pay rate of $32-$35/hr DOE. This is a 1st shift role, Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F. Some OT may be available on Saturdays depending on production needs.

Responsibilities for the CNC Milling Machinist/Programmer:

• Operating and programming HAAS CNC milling machines
• Set-up and operation of CNC mills for prototype, specialty parts, and small production runs
• Performing program edits and basic conversational programming at the machine
• Conducting quality inspections and performing in-process checks
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions
• Maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency throughout machining operations

Must have:

• 5-Axis experience min 3 years
• Master Cam programming
• HASS is a plus
• Potential to move into a leadership role
• Experience operating and programming CNC mills
• Solid machining and tooling knowledge
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to pass standard pre-employment screening
