The incumbent functions under the general direction of a Public Health Services Manager and is expected to follow policies in DHM150-24 for the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) High Quality Program Service.

Determine WIC Program eligibility. Documents client income, identification, and address and updates as appropriate. Advises clients of their rights and responsibilities as a WIC Program participant. Enters client voter preference information. Issues WIC ID and EBT cards. Instructs families on program procedures. Documents appointments on the WIC ID card and in the computer. Requests immunization documentation from clients. Refers clients to community partners for assistance. Handle telephone duties.

Health Support and Nutrition Services Instructs clients on the Nutrition Education Newsletter and completes documentation on tally sheets and in the data system. Enters or performs height, weight, and routine laboratory tests (finger stick hemoglobin). Collects and records health information and services provided into the electronic record. Administrative Documents work in the EARs and the WIC computer systems. Assist to maintain EBT card and formula inventories. Informs co-workers and supervisor of changes needed in the schedule to serve clients in a timely manner. Actively participates in team meetings to improve WIC services. Documents work in the Employee Activity Report and the WIC computer systems. Submits purchase requisitions for office supplies, makes photocopies. Assist to maintain EBT card and formula inventories.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to use online computer system, bilingual preferred. Cultural sensitivity, ability to do basic math calculations and good language skills, willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed, Some days may start at 7:30 am, other days may end at 6:30pm. Knowledge of office procedures, practices and organization skills. Ability to organize and maintain files and records efficiently.

Other job-related requirements for this position: Valid FL Driver License, Successful completion of the Nutrition Education Modules within 6 months. Will involve travel between Stuart and Indiantown based on agency needs. Incumbent may be required to work during or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, agency needs. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in a Special Needs or Red Cross Shelter, or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. Must be willing to physically come into the office daily and perform field work. Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Have the ability to maintain 100% client confidentiality both on and off the job. This position performs lab tests involving blood. After required training, you will you be required to do this on adults and children. Adherence to Agency approved Drug-Free Workplace and Dress Code policies required.

Working hours: Flexible work schedule, Friday through Thursday. Part-time Position, Total hours in work week under 30. Daily variations depending on clinic schedule.
