Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience
• PCU/Stepdown experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with quality and safety standards
• Mentor and support nursing staff while promoting teamwork
