Cage Assistant Shift Manager

Position: Cage Department Supervisor – The role focuses on guiding and supervising staff in the Cage department while ensuring operational and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Provide daily supervision and guidance to Cage staff, supporting operational goals and monitoring performance and profit objectives. Manage scheduling, coordinate with management on scheduling concerns, and maintain guest satisfaction. Support compliance with departmental budgets and regulatory requirements. Promote and enforce superior customer service standards, addressing issues as they arise. Handle guest inquiries, report issues to management for guest recovery. Assist in preparing and reviewing currency transaction reports, verify vault accountability, and verify credit line availability. Review transaction logs for accuracy, verify main bank and window cashier drawers, authorize checks, and prepare inputs for live games. Prepare jackpots and manage customer deposit and safekeeping logs while ensuring all compliance and regulatory procedures are followed. Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters. Qualifications Minimum age 21 years. High school diploma or GED, or one to two years of customer‑service‑related experience, or equivalent education and experience. Proficiency in computer use—including Microsoft Office, email, database, spreadsheets, and word‑processing software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexible to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs dictate. Strong analytical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs. Effective interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues, resolving problems and conflicts diplomatically. Knowledge of office machines and tools such as jet sort, coin roller, 10‑key, and credit‑card‑cash‑advance systems. Ability to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations. Supervisory Responsibilities Manage work procedures and expedite workflow. Provide coaching and counseling to team members. Language Skills Read, interpret, and communicate in written and spoken English; reading safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; written communication may also be required. Reasoning Ability Apply commonsense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form, and solve standardized problems involving multiple variables. Certificates, Licenses, Registration Must be eligible for any required licenses and permits mandated by federal, state, and local regulations. Physical Demands Regularly stand, use hands, reach, handle objects, and talk or hear. Lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance in varying work areas. Work Environment The environment is usually moderate noise.
