Associate Plumber

Becton Dickinson seeks an Associate Plumber to support plumbing operations, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep at a medical device manufacturing facility in Canaan, Connecticut. The role involves assisting with installations, repairs, equipment inspections, and documentation in a 24/7 regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumber with repair, installation, and replacement of piping, valves, fixtures, and pumps.
• Stage and transport tools, materials, and parts; support system shutdowns, isolations, and restarts.
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance work orders including inspections, filter changes, and equipment checks.
• Conduct routine facility rounds and report leaks, unusual noise, vibration, or temperature changes.
• Complete work order documentation and maintain clean, organized mechanical rooms and work areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 0-3 years maintenance, plumbing, or trade experience
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hand/power tool proficiency
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights
• Capacity to read and follow procedures and work orders
• Basic plumbing knowledge preferred
• OSHA 10 safety training preferred

Compensation: $21.40 - $34.20 USD Hourly
