Job Title: Yard Assistant

Compensation: $17.00/hr (Weekly Pay)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:55 AM until daily tasks finish (generally around 5PM)
Status: Temporary
Location: Garden City, Savannah, GA 31408

Overview

Darkhorse Express is hiring an energetic and responsible Yard Assistant to help manage our daily site operations. In this role, you will work outside, secure freight, keep the area organized, and handle basic site duties. We are looking for a punctual person who values safety and works well alongside others.

Key Tasks

Safely climb ladders to secure and unbind freight on trailers and containers.
Keep the facility grounds tidy, orderly, and clear of safety hazards.
Complete physical labor tasks to keep the daily workflow moving.
Stick to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
Keep open communication with managers and your coworkers.

Requirements

Happy to work outside through all types of weather (heat, cold, rain).
Excellent attendance record and an honest work ethic.
Good at taking direction and cooperating with a team.
Confident working off the ground (no fear of heights).
Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling required.
Forklift experience is helpful but not mandatory.
