Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a paraprofessional in a vibrant elementary school setting near Suisun City, CA. This position offers a rewarding chance to make a real difference in a student’s life, working closely in a 1:1 role. The assignment is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and runs tentatively through 12/22/26, with the potential for extension.
You will play a pivotal part in fostering growth and learning, providing tailored assistance to a student during a maternity leave coverage period. Your dedication will help create a positive and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role
- Ability to foster an encouraging and respectful atmosphere for students
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
- Credentialed candidates will be given priority consideration
- Commitment to supporting individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with a student, providing focused academic and personal assistance
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to implement individualized education plans
- Assist with classroom activities and encourage student participation
- Monitor student progress and offer feedback to the broader educational team
- Help maintain an organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment
