Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.Must perform all Analyst 1 Responsibilities, and:Ensure safe completion of all tasks in the labTune and calibrate Analytical InstrumentsHigh Volume analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assayPerform other analytical duties as assigned by the laboratory managerPerform routine preventative maintenance of analytical laboratory instrumentationCommunicate test results in a timely manner to factory customers to support manufacturingParticipate in the documentation of quality control standards and analytical resultsCross-train on a variety of analytical lab testsParticipate in the optimization of sample cycle times and continuous laboratory improvementsWork with laboratory personnel to ensure supplies are maintainedAnswer customer and management questions about sample statusParticipate in the documentation of safety protocolsEnsure that unresolved analytical/instrumentation/LIMS/sample issues are escalatedImplement safety and quality improvementsAttend Air Liquide Town HallsImplement and maintain 5S organizational principlesAssist customers by helping them with their issues with LIMS, databases, etcFollow up on samples with long dwell times (long TAT's)Troubleshoot instrument and sample analysis issues as directed by SOP/ChemistsTroubleshoot instrument software and connection issues as directed by SOP/ChemistsAssist Scientists/Chemists with data collection for Lab instrument qualifications and MOC's.Provide support at Austin Lab site on an as needed basis._____________________Are you a MATCH?Education RequirementsHS Diploma with 7 years industrial laboratory experience ORAssociate Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 5 years of ExperienceBachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 3 years of ExperienceGeneral RequirementsMust meet all Analyst 1 RequirementsHoliday and weekend coverageMust be able to work in a team environment and effectively communicateGood computer skills with analytical instrumentation software, LIMS, Word, Excel, etcMust have initiative and be self-motivatedMust have good organizational skillsMust be able to lift medium loads with the help of coworkersPerform repetitive sample analysis tasks dailyOur Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
