The Sr. Associate, Project Controls Cost & Scheduling will be responsible for creating detailed construction schedules, critical path analysis, variance reporting, earned value analysis, and compiling performance data for reporting. This role works hand-in-hand with the project management team and supports a range of project controls functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain projectschedules including relationships, logic, milestones, durations, critical path, and constraints across the project portfolio.
• Serve as subject matter expert for scheduling within the organization.
• Implement quality checks for schedule accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor and proactively identify schedule risks; develop mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate impacts of change orders and delays on project timelines.
• Support claims analysis and dispute resolution.
• Provide Earned Value analysis and other progress reporting functions.
• Coordinate between departments to manage the program schedule and update process.
• Work independently with project managers to design project scope and report on costs and schedules.
• Own the baseline schedule and provide strategic updates to clients.
• Maintain schedule integrity and version control.
• Utilize AI tools to support scheduling responsibilities.
• Perform QA/QC on project schedules to ensure alignment with program goals.
• Manage contractor and subcontractor schedule reviews.
• Run and lead schedule review meetings.
• Coordinate across departments to ensure stakeholder buy-in.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, accounting, or a related analytical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in project cost control, project accounting, financial analysis, or related project controls functions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop forecasts, analyze variances, assess trends, and interpret cost, schedule, and commercial data.
• Experience reviewing invoices, change orders, commercial proposals, or contract terms for accuracy and compliance.
• Proficiency in project coordination across engineering, procurement, finance, and construction stakeholders.
• Advanced attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance.
• 3+ years of experience with construction project cost & schedule integration
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to synthesize cost information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time and work occasionally on active construction sites.
