Project Manager - Mission Critical

Location: Travel throughout Arlington, Ashburn, Leesburg, Washington DC Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of complex mission critical construction projects. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders and ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have experience managing technically complex projects within data centers, telecom facilities, critical infrastructure, or other mission critical environments. This role requires strong financial management skills, leadership abilities, and a collaborative approach to working with project teams and clients. Key Responsibilities Lead mission critical construction projects from pursuit and preconstruction through project completion. Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with project teams, design professionals, trade partners, and field leadership to resolve issues and drive successful project outcomes. Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for future project growth. Assist with estimating, budgeting, and preconstruction planning activities. Review project estimates and budgets to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals. Manage project financials, including forecasting, cost tracking, and overall budget performance. Develop, maintain, and evaluate project schedules. Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract execution, and scope development. Review construction documents and perform quality control reviews throughout project execution. Mentor and support project team members while promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Coordinate site visits and travel as necessary to support active projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered. 5+ years of project management experience within mission critical, data center, telecom, or technically complex construction environments. Strong understanding of MEP systems and critical infrastructure. Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and P&L responsibilities. Proven ability to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders. Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software platforms. Self‑motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities. Preferred Experience Data center, telecom, or mission critical construction projects. Design‑Build and Construction Management delivery methods. Critical power, cooling, fiber, or network infrastructure projects. Experience developing and maintaining long‑term client relationships. Background supporting business development and project pursuits.
