Shuttle Driver (Non-CDL)

Responsibilities Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers. Be punctual and present for every scheduled workday, in uniform. Possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license to be carried while on duty. Maintain an acceptable DMV record. Courteously assist customers by answering questions or directing them to the Facility Manager for further assistance. Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager. Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and similar issues to the garage office. Substitute for cashiers or valets when necessary and authorized. Have thorough knowledge of all garage areas and major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area. Assist customers with luggage and other travel items, if applicable (e.g., operating shuttle buses at airport locations). Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed. Qualifications Education/Experience: Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. License: Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record. DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required. Availability to Work: Shift requirements vary by location; availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information clearly in one-on-one situations. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic with money and numbers as described in the posting. Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in full uniform at all times. Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, and handling of cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing or balancing; ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed.
