Quality/Receiving InspectorLocation: Corona, CAEmployment Type: Full-TimeWe are looking for a Quality/Receiving Inspector. The Quality/Receiving Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of aerospace and industrial components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. This role supports AS9100 quality standards by verifying product conformity, documenting inspection results, and identifying nonconforming materials in a high-mix, mid-volume manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform receiving, in-process, first article (FAI), and final inspections of aerospace and industrial parts and assemblies, as assignedInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirementsUse precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection toolsDocument inspection results accurately and maintain traceability recordsIdentify and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with company proceduresGenerate and support completion of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per AS9102Verify material certifications and documentation for complianceSupport internal and external audits as requiredCommunicate inspection results and quality concerns to production and quality engineering teamsEducational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical or vocational training in quality inspection, manufacturing, or related field preferredRequired Experience2–5 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturingExperience performing dimensional inspections on precision machined componentsExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&TSkills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&TProficiency with precision measuring instrumentsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow inspection procedures and documentation requirementsStrong organizational and record-keeping skillsBasic computer skills for data entry and documentationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsExperience in AS9100-certified environmentsExperience performing First Article Inspections (AS9102)Familiarity with CMM or FARO arm inspection equipment, as applicableKnowledge of material certifications and aerospace documentation requirementsCertification such as ASQ CQT or equivalent preferredWorking ConditionsManufacturing floor and inspection lab environmentExposure to machinery, noise, oils, and metal componentsPossible overtime during peak production periodsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift parts or inspection tools (up to 30 lbs)Repetitive hand and arm movements using measuring instrumentsVisual acuity to inspect detailed aerospace componentsCompliance & Other RequirementsAdherence to AS9100 quality management system requirementsCompliance with ITAR and export control regulationsAbility to maintain accurate, audit-ready inspection recordsAbility to handle sensitive customer and technical documentation confidentiallyU.S. Person status may be required due to ITAR regulationsCompensation: $17.00 to start, and after a successful 90 probationary period you'll receive a $1.50 increaseBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Company Paid and Voluntary PlansThermal Structures, Inc. is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor, offering preference to protected veterans for its job openings, AAP, EEO Lucix
