• Floating: Must be willing to float as needed within the campus

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Ventilator competency preferred
• IV drip competency preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient status, identify changes quickly, and escalate care appropriately
• Manage and support advanced critical care equipment including monitors, CRRT, IV therapy, fluid warmers, and blanket coolers
• Perform and assist with common ICU procedures such as dialysis line insertion, arterial line insertion, central line insertion, cardioversion, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertion
• Collaborate closely with physicians, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and follow established unit guidelines
• Deliver compassionate, professional nursing care while supporting a positive patient experience
