Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MedSurg RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to unit protocols and policies.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to formulate care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Epic.
• Respond to emergency situations in accordance with established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Currently hold a valid South Carolina RN license or a Compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Experience with telemetry and proficiency in managing medications and care for patients with chronic conditions.
• Epic electronic charting experience required.
