Litigation Associate

Established (35+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Litigation Attorney for Litigation and Insurance Defense Matters in Houston, Texas

An established firm based in Houston , Texas with over 35+ years in practice is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their team in a hybrid work arrangement. This role involves handling insurance defense litigation, commercial disputes, personal injury defense, and complex civil litigation , representing corporate clients and insurers in state and federal courts throughout all phases of litigation.

Salary range: $115,000-$165,000+, contingent on experience

Qualifications
Active Texas Bar membership in good standing
Three years of experience handling civil litigation or insurance defense matters
Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced litigation environment
Strong client communication skills and professional judgment

 

Responsibilities
Defend clients in civil and insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and substantive legal memoranda
Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials
Develop litigation strategy and advise clients on risk exposure and resolution options
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to deliver efficient and effective client service
Manage active caseloads while meeting court deadlines and client expectations
