Dental Assistant Pediatric Dentistry

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a world-class healthcare organization in Cleveland, OH to hire a Dental Assistant for a busy Pediatric Dentistry Clinic . This is a first shift opportunity with a starting pay rate of $19.41/hour . This opportunity focuses on providing exceptional support to dentists, residents, dental students, and young patients while helping create a positive and comfortable experience for children and their families. Key Responsibilities: Provide chairside assistance during exams, cleanings, restorations, endodontic, surgical, and emergency procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies for daily patient care. Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards. Educate patients and parents/guardians regarding oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care. Coordinate patient flow, appointments, dental records, radiographs, and treatment documentation. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with front desk coverage as needed. Monitor and maintain dental instrument and supply inventory. Support daily clinic operations to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience . Dental Assistant, Current Radiology, and Current CPR Certifications Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, sterilization procedures, and infection control practices. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Experience working with dental software systems (Axium preferred). Ability to work in a clinical environment. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Hepatitis B vaccination and annual TB testing Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric dentistry experience. Insurance verification and patient scheduling experience. Inventory management and supply ordering experience.
