Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 31-bed Emergency Department serving all age populations, including behavioral health and acute patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility during high-volume periods, admit holds, or when a patient requires immediate care
• Utilize MedHost (ED) as the primary EHR, with Meditech used for admit holds and behavioral health patients
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage as needed
• Float to other areas of the department as needed
• Uphold professional, compassionate, and team-oriented standards of care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• BLS certification required prior to start
• NIH certification required prior to start
• PALS or ENPC certification required prior to start
• Handle with Care certification required (available on-site)
• 5 or more years of Emergency Department experience required
• Must consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form prior to placement
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Extensive Emergency Room experience across a broad range of patient acuity levels
• Familiarity with MedHost and/or Meditech EHR platforms
• Experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department environment
• Professional, positive, and compassionate demeanor with strong team collaboration skills
