Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing for ICU patients, ensuring quality patient outcomes through expert clinical judgment and compassionate care. Flexibility to float to medical-surgical units when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced ICU nursing care to critically ill patients by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing complex medical equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS standards, to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Float to medical-surgical units as necessary, providing high-quality care across departments.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certifications, and agency requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience demonstrating proficiency in critical care.
• Hold a current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Maintain a valid nursing license valid in the state of assignment.
• Demonstrate travel experience, preferably with recent renewal documentation.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
• Exhibit excellent communication and clinical skills.
