Controls Technician

1st SHIFT/$28-$38/hr/FULL TIME

Overview:

Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a slow release medication coating systems manufacturer.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, PLCs, and HMIs to minimize downtime
Perform wiring, installation, and commissioning of control systems and related equipment
Provide remote technical support for the Indianapolis site and travel as needed for on-site assistance
Support the Stoughton maintenance team with electrical and controls-related repairs
Conduct preventative maintenance and implement system upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve complex issues and drive improvements
Maintain accurate documentation including wiring diagrams, control systems, and programming updates
Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards during work activities

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of maintenance experience, or an associate’s degree with 1+ year of related experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical controls or automation systems
At least 1 year of formal training or certification in electrical, high voltage, HVAC, or related technology
Experience in a manufacturing environment (facility maintenance, machine maintenance, equipment installation, and preventative maintenance)
Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs, including programming and diagnostics
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documents
Proficient in the use of electrical and mechanical tools
