Shipping/Receiving Technician

Role and Responsibilities:

• Performs safety check on lifts daily
• Pull stock from inventory as per information on the packing list received from the order clerk
• Ensure all trucks or containers are loaded in such a way that products arrive safely
• Ensure all orders are signed off on the bill of lading by the drivers
• Check and sign all receiving documents after ensuring the incoming product is not damaged and is correct as per the purchase order. If damage is present fill out required damage report damage to purchasing department or the head of the department or any member of management
• Follow all work instructions relating to the warehouse position
• Retain copies of all required paperwork and return to the order clerk
• Rotate stock as required
• Keep warehouse neat and clean
• Complete monthly cycle counts

Profile and Background:

• Strong safety focus
• High School diploma or GED required
• 3- 5 years shipping and receiving experience preferred
• Forklift certification required
• Experience in a manufacturing company required
• Ability to keep neat and organized records and files with attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 50lbs
