Two full-time opportunities are available: one focusing on affective needs, the other dedicated to academic support as a learning specialist. Key Qualifications:

• Current Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with Special Education Generalist endorsement (ages 5–21)
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings, ideally with middle school-aged students
• Background in working with students with moderate-to-severe disabilities or autism is highly valued
• Familiarity with behavioral assessment and intervention strategies, such as Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), is a distinct advantage
• Strong ability to adapt instruction and support individualized education plans (IEPs)

Your Responsibilities:

• For the affective needs role, provide targeted instruction and support for students with significant social, emotional, or behavioral needs
• For the learning specialist position, deliver four supplemental math and literacy support classes, fostering academic growth for students with a variety of learning differences
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement IEPs, behavior plans, and progress monitoring
• Engage in regular communication with families and school personnel, promote inclusive practices, and maintain accurate documentation
• Complete all required credentialing paperwork with the district prior to starting
