Security Specialist Team LeadKoniag Technology Solutions, Inc, a Koniag Government Services Company, is looking for a highly qualified, experienced, and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of a Security Specialist Team Lead with intimate knowledge of visitor procedures. The Security Specialist Team Lead will support KTS and our government customer in Quantico, VA at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Laboratory Division and oversee the execution of coverage 24/7/365. This position requires a Top-Secret clearance and SCI eligibility and the willingness and ability to pass a CI Polygraph. Please do not apply if you do not possess that level clearance. We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, 401K with company matching, paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick leave and more.Shift Structure of Security TeamMonday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m; 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m; 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.The Team Lead will primarily work Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m but will alter and flex their schedule as necessary to ensure the continuity of security operations they oversee.Security Specialists shall perform security operations and support services necessary to achieve all required performance outcomes and must be flexible and willing to alternate his or her schedule in order to staff the posts during the designated working hours. The Contractors may be required to shift their schedule or report to an alternate location without significant advance notice.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:Managing contractor personnel and work assignmentsEnsuring all performance requirements and service levels are metOverseeing staffing, scheduling, and operational coverageImplementing quality control processesCoordinating with Government stakeholdersIdentifying and resolving performance issuesExecuting security operations across all required functionsMaintaining continuous situational awarenessSupporting access control, personnel security, and physical security operationsMaintaining accurate records and documentationSupporting incident response and emergency proceduresPerforming duties across multiple security disciplines as requiredContractors shall be required to use the FBI access control databases, including the FBI's Phoenix and the SOPU Gatekeeper visitor database.Conduct Scattered Castles and/or DISS verifications as requested.Personnel shall be responsible for processing incoming Visitor Access Requests (VAR) and for entering the information into the appropriate database. Must coordinate VAR information with the appropriate FBI Security Division personnel.Prepare electronic communications (ECs) in Sentinel as required.Shall be responsible for outgoing clearance transfer procedures, obtain proxy access, and assist as necessary.Shall process FBI Limited Access Request (LAR) paperwork, including coordinating approvals/denials with the FBI Security Division, notifying the point-of-contact, entering details into the database, and preparing associated EC.Shall issue badges and IDs in accordance with policy and utilize the badge system as directed.Responsible for monitoring CCTV videoConducting perimeter checksCoordinating with Quantico Security Operations Center (QSOC) for emergency response and alarm activityPersonnel shall be responsible for the screening of visitors and their belongings with an X-ray machine and a metal detector. Visual checks shall be conducted if the X-ray machine and/or metal detector is not available. They shall complete all trainings required/provided by the customer to insure proper handling of this equipment.Personnel shall assist with escort duties as needed.The Team Lead shall have full authority to act on behalf of the Contractor and ensure contract compliance.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Minimum education required is a bachelor's degree in any field and three (3) years security experience in relevant fields, such as industrial security, physical security and computer/network security – OR – a minimum of five (5) years of experience in any security related field.Must be skilled in creating complex spreadsheets (i.e. Excel, etc.), in preparing briefings (i.e. PowerPoint, etc.), Word, and Adobe Acrobat.Must be able to communicate clearly; must be able to provide security briefings and debriefings; must be able to provide comprehensive written communications.Must perform all duties in an extremely professional, customer-service oriented manner.Clearance Requirement:Must possess final Top-Secret personnel security clearances and must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) special access.Our Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
