RoadStar LLC is looking for an experienced CDL-A Driver Recruiter to take ownership of driver recruiting and help grow our local and OTR fleet. This is a full time job Monday through Friday in the office.
Our priority is finding someone who can do more than manage incoming applications. We need a recruiter who can proactively develop new recruiting channels, build a consistent pipeline of qualified CDL-A candidates, and generate more driver applicants.
This position will also assist with driver onboarding, orientation, retention, and employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new strategies to generate qualified CDL-A driver applicants
- Identify and build new recruiting channels and candidate pipelines
- Recruit CDL-A drivers for local and OTR positions
- Proactively source, call, text, and follow up with prospective drivers
- Manage applicants from Indeed, Driver Pulse, referrals, and other recruiting sources
- Track recruiting results and determine which sources and strategies are producing hires
- Screen candidates and coordinate the hiring and pre-employment process
- Conduct new-driver orientation and onboarding
- Check in with new hires and assist with driver retention
- Handle routine driver coaching, disciplinary conversations, and documentation
- Assist management with driver offboarding when necessary
What We're Looking For
- Previous CDL-A driver recruiting experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to source drivers and build candidate pipelines - not just process incoming applicants
- Knowledge of CDL driver recruiting platforms, sourcing methods, and industry best practices
- Strong phone, communication, and follow-up skills
- Creative and proactive approach to finding qualified drivers
- Comfortable working directly with drivers and handling difficult conversations
- Organized and able to manage recruiting activity from initial contact through hire
- Experience with Driver Pulse or similar recruiting software is a plus
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of CDL recruiting for the company, bring new ideas to the table, and help us build a stronger and more consistent driver pipeline.
