Quality Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

W hat the position entails:

An employee who, in support of and under the direction of the Quality Manager, strives to assure Brazeway products meet or exceeds customer expectations of conformance to design, function and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Certified Quality Technician, (CQT), or to obtain within 18 months preferred.
• Relevant plant experience.
• Math competency with the ability to comprehend statistical data including capability and gage studies.
• Must be able to interpret prints.
• Must be able to use and calibrate micrometers, calipers, and other types of precision inspection equipment.
• Must be able to follow and write work instructions/procedures and control plans.
• Must be able to produce accurate and intelligent reports based on product/process data.
• Must be able to lead teams.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Must be proficient with electronic communication (Outlook, Teams)

What a candidate must have to be qualified for the role:

• Conducts all relevant quality tests including but not limited to tensile, yield, elongation, burst and dimensional measurements
• Provide Quality Tech and Die Tech coverage on a day to day basis
• Design/manage various types of gauges
• Perform process/layered audits
• Provide customer service as needed
• Audit and revise work instructions/control plans
• Perform additional quality/die related duties as directed.
• Maintain dies per the designed standards and work instructions which includes cleaning, repairing, reworking, replacing tooling. This also includes documenting information about dies and support tooling.
• Support operations with changeover, thread up, die changes, etc. when needed.
• Collect quality samples from Press Operators.
• General 5S+ Safety
• Other duties as needed to maintain operations

We also have manufacturing facilities located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Monterrey, Mexico. Our Corporate Headquarters reside in Adrian, Michigan.
