Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Overallmanagementresponsibilityforoperationofretailgrocerystore,includingstoreperformance,controlof cash, inventory and security, customer services, and management of staff. Track,analyzeandtakeactiontoimprovestoreperformancebyforecastingofweekly/dailysalesgoalsand meeting or exceeding established goals. Communicate sales goals, department performance and sales opportunities with staff to ensure positive results. Forecast,schedule,andmonitorlabortobeconsistentwithstoresalesandproductivityguidelinesandwage budgets; create action plan to address cost control issues. Monitordisplayaccuracyandappearancetoimplementpromotions.Ensurethatproductsareproperly displayed and ordered in a manner to maintain in-stock conditions. Manageissuesrelatingtostoremaintenance,cleanliness,safetyand sanitation. Prioritize, plan, andcoordinateworkactivities, andmanagetimeandresourcessothatworkobjectivesare met. Ensurecompliancewithlegalrequirementsandcompanypoliciesandprocedures,includingcheckcashing, security, safety, sanitation, wage and hour, etc. Focusoncustomersatisfactionandneeds,ensurethatemployeesprovidecustomerswithsuperiorcustomer service through use of best practices and communication of the importance of superior customer service. Select,train,develop,andmanagejobperformanceofstoreemployees,withassistanceofother management personnel. Provideconstructivesuggestionsandencouragement,setperformanceexpectations,providehonest feedback, and identify assignments to provide others with developmental opportunities. Maintainappropriateprofessionalrelationshipwithunionofficials,andensurecompliancewithcollective bargaining agreement provisions, if applicable. Maintainpositiveworkingrelationshipswithdirectreports,peers,supervisors,suppliers,andcustomers effectively handling complex or difficult situations involving others. Motivateotherstoperformthejobandworktowards commonobjectives.Serve asarolemodeltoothers instilling a positive attitude in his/her employees. Qualifications: The following are preferred : PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Incumbentmayusecalculators,keyboards,telephone, andotherofficeequipmentinthecourseofnormal workday Workmayinvolveregularstanding, walking,climbingstairsandmovementinandaroundmachineryand hazardous equipment, as well as receiving and production areas Workdayisfastpacedand stressful. The salary range is $100,000 to $129,800 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).
