Automotive Paint Technician - Tampa

Locally owned company with over 100 years combined experience in the automotive reconditioning industry is expanding and requires a qualified and professional automotive paint technician. Pay: $1,500.00 - $3,000.00 per week Benefits Dental, Vision, Health Insurance Life Insurance Responsibilities Inspect vehicles to be painted for repair. Prep and/or buff defects. Mix paint to specific color using standard formulas or color charts. Paint, sand, mask, blend, and/or polish finish; retouch as needed. Qualifications High School diploma. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to interact with co‑workers and customers. At least two years of experience as an auto painter, prep, or collision repair technician. Detail oriented. Good active listening skills and sound judgment. Strong multitasking capabilities. Ability to follow complex instructions is a plus. Knowledge of safety precautions. Work Environment Ability to work with strong detergents and chemicals. Work outside in hot and cold weather conditions. Willingness to wear gloves, eye, and ear protection. Work a 40‑hour minimum week, Monday through Friday. Pay is competitive; paint leads earn up to 30% of gross bill out. Paint technicians work in teams of two and assist each other in completing jobs.
