Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Allergy & Immunology
Outpatient Pediatric Specialty Clinic | White Plains, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

A leading academic health system is seeking a compassionate and organized Registered Nurse (RN) to join its outpatient Pediatric Allergy & Immunology practice in White Plains, NY. This role provides comprehensive nursing support to pediatric patients with allergic, immunologic, and respiratory conditions while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and medical assistants. The ideal candidate enjoys building long-term relationships with children and families in a collaborative, fast-paced outpatient environment.

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with food allergies, asthma, eczema, environmental allergies, and other immunologic conditions.

• Perform patient assessments, obtain health histories, vital signs, and medication reconciliation during clinic visits.

• Administer allergy immunotherapy (allergy injections), biologic medications, and other prescribed treatments while monitoring patients for adverse reactions.

• Assist physicians during allergy testing, oral food challenges, pulmonary function testing, and other in-office procedures.

• Educate patients and families on allergy management plans, asthma action plans, medication administration, environmental avoidance strategies, and emergency preparedness.

• Triage incoming patient calls and electronic messages, providing clinical guidance and coordinating appropriate follow-up care.

• Coordinate laboratory testing, imaging, referrals, prior authorizations, and specialty consultations as needed.

• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).

• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and ancillary staff to ensure continuity of care.

• Respond appropriately to allergic reactions or medical emergencies in accordance with established clinical protocols.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• BSN preferred.

• BLS certification required.

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in pediatrics, allergy/immunology, primary care, ambulatory care, or another outpatient specialty preferred.

• Experience administering injections, vaccines, biologic therapies, or allergy immunotherapy is preferred.

• Strong patient education, communication, and organizational skills.

• Experience with Epic or another electronic medical record system preferred.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a patient-centered outpatient environment.

• Monday-Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays .
