The position is the senior principal advisor on matters related to facility maintenance and management Major Duties At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist position include, but are not limited to the following: Oversee facilities management division planning, budgeting, staffing, and administration by allocating resources and monitoring expenditures; managing hiring, training, and employee performance; leading a comprehensive safety program and promoting a strong safety culture; and providing clear reports and recommendations to park leadership regarding priorities, risks, and long-term facility strategies. Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the buildings & utilities and roads & trails branches within the facilities management division. Supervise the branch supervisors for each area to ensure coordinated oversight and support. Supervise the project manager and facility management systems specialist positions, which lead contracting workflows and execution, funding requests, and asset management. Provide oversight to major construction, repair/rehabilitation, and service contracts; develop and review scopes of work; develop and establish financial agreements; and ensure contractor and partner adherence to safety and performance standards. Develop, prioritize, and implement maintenance, cyclic repair, and infrastructure improvement programs-both short- and long-term-by interpreting condition assessments, asset data, and funding and operational needs to keep facilities, utilities, roads, and trails safe, compliant, and service-ready throughout the park Ensure all facilities, road, and trail projects comply with environmental, cultural and safety standards; coordinate or lead National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) submissions; and use National Park Service software to manage facility planning, funding, and compliance work. #J-18808-Ljbffr
