Family Law Attorney

Overview A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney for a full-time, on-site position in Castle Rock, CO. The attorney will manage a caseload involving divorce, custody, child support, adoption, paternity, and related family law matters from initial consultation through resolution. Responsibilities Meet with clients and assess legal issues. Draft pleadings and motions. Conduct discovery and prepare for depositions. Represent clients in court hearings and trials. Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation. Collaborate with colleagues on legal strategies. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding case status. Requirements Strong foundation in law with the ability to analyze complex legal issues in family law. Substantive experience in family law, including divorce, custody, and support proceedings. Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions with excellent written advocacy skills. Experience in preparing for and conducting depositions. Solid courtroom experience, including hearings and trials. Strong client communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities. Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize deadlines. Prior experience in a law firm setting is beneficial. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active Colorado bar admission or ability to obtain promptly. Skills Excellent legal research and written advocacy skills.
