Embrace an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners as part of a dedicated team at an Early Learning center near Joliet, IL. This full-time, 35-hour per week contract position is designed for Speech Language Pathologists passionate about early intervention and collaborative school-based care. Both experienced SLP-CCC and those completing their CFY are encouraged to apply, provided you hold an active Professional Educator License (PEL).
Bring your enthusiasm for supporting children’s speech, language, and communication skills in a nurturing educational environment. This position typically offers contract renewal, giving you the chance to build meaningful professional relationships and grow your expertise with a supportive staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credential
- Experience with pediatric populations or within K-12, especially Early Learning settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement appropriate intervention plans based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Support positive and inclusive learning outcomes for diverse student needs
