Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Caring for cats and dogs, this modern small animal hospital combines advanced technology, comprehensive medical services, and a supportive team environment. Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive medical care for companion animal patients while developing strong relationships with clients and their pets. Responsibilities include preventative care, wellness examinations, diagnostics, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, geriatric care, allergy management, and patient treatment planning. You will work with a caseload that includes both wellness and sick visits, providing high-quality care across a variety of medical and surgical cases. The role involves collaborating closely with technicians and support staff, educating clients on treatment options, and contributing to a positive and team-oriented hospital culture. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
This small animal hospital is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, an in-house pharmacy, a dedicated dental suite, a separate surgical suite, and hands-free radiology capabilities. Additional facilities include grooming and boarding services, an in-office surgical suite, intensive care facilities, and an isolation ward. Services include advanced dental care, bone and joint surgery, dermatology, orthopaedic surgery, reproductive services, soft tissue surgery, preventative care, wellness examinations, vaccinations, flea and tick control, parasite prevention, microchipping, allergy management, anesthesia, dental radiography, dentistry, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health examinations, internal medicine, periodontics, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, urology, radiology, and pet loss support. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The practice is located in a warm and welcoming modern facility and promotes continued learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
Team
The hospital is staffed by 2 veterinarians and a great tenured support team. Veterinarians are supported by one technician or veterinary assistant per doctor for appointments, along with two treatment technicians, creating an efficient and collaborative working environment. The culture emphasises teamwork, mentorship, professional development, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
