Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 3x12-Hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, with on-call requirement including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Description The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is a highly skilled 8 bay unit providing essential care following surgical procedures. The PACU RN will monitor patients on a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring safety and quality of care as they recover from anesthesia. Responsibilities include managing airways, pain levels, and vital signs, alongside providing comprehensive support for all post-surgical needs. Responsibilities Monitor patient vital signs and surgical recovery in PACU. Manage patient airways and pain levels effectively. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Transport patients back to ASU with appropriate monitoring. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding postoperative care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum one year of PACU experience in a main hospital setting. Pediatric OR experience is required.
