Registered Veterinary Technician - Big Bear Alpine Zoo

San Bernardino County Special Districts, Big Bear Park and Recreation is recruiting for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to perform general and routine animal care tasks at the District's Big Bear Alpine Zoo. Primary duties include wildlife rehabilitation, assisting with physical examinations, administering medications, assisting with diagnostics including radiographs, blood analysis, observation and documentation of animal behavior. Additional duties include husbandry of exotic animals, maintaining and cleaning animal enclosures, answering questions from the public, assisting with presentations, and performing light maintenance in and around animal enclosures. Possession of a valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license, or completion of an Accredited Veterinary Technician program, is required. A copy of the Veterinary Technician license and/or proof of completion of the Accredited Veterinary Technician program must be submitted with the application to be considered.
